HRS Process Systems Ltd. has acquired exclusive rights by the way of a license manufacturing agreement for the design, manufacture, supply and service of Plate Heat Exchangers, with FUNKE Waermaustauscher GmbH!
Optimizing Process Efficiency and Space Utilization with HRS Plate Heat Exchangers in Process Industries Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger.
HRS Funke plate heat exchangers can have a heat transfer area of up to 2400 m2. A wide range of variant models with optimal thermodynamic designs suited for different industries and a spectrum of applications. Our plate heat exchangers are highly efficient with the proper safety measures to avoid media mixing, and at the same time are easy to clean/ service, and have low maintenance equipment.
Types of Plate Heat Exchangers:
These plate heat exchangers can be customized with an extensive choice of combinations of plate and gasket types, materials, and sizes. They can be designed to suit industrial-scale processes in pharma, chemical, power, cement, steel, oil & gas and many more sectors, as well as hygienic applications like food/ fruit, juices, beverage, dairy, sugar and similar processes.
Our wide sales and service reach ensures quick availability of spares, maintenance and overhauling services. This also enables to fulfill customer requirements of capacity enhancement in PHEs. This perfect collaboration of HRS & Funke ensure highest quality standards and complete customer satisfaction.
Plate Heat Exchanger FAQs
Necessary maintenance intervals of plate type heat exchanger depending upon diversity of media used. Soft deposits on plates may be removed with circulating hot fresh water and a soft brush directly when the plate type heat exchanger is opened. To remove more stubborn deposits a high pressure clear can also be used. Care should be taken to ensure the surface of SS plates are not be damaged by cleaning. Therefore, abrasive cleaning or polishing agents and metal brushes etc should not be used.
Size and type will depend on what product is going to be processed, its temperature/ pressure/ flow parameters, and capacity of the process plant. It will also depend on how much space is available in the plant. It will also depend on the chemical properties of the product/ fluids, design is checked on certified software and suitable type & size of plate is finalized. After finalization of plates suitable plate heat exchanger is offered. plate heat exchangers can be offered with a heat transfer area of upto 2400 m2. A wide range of variant models with optimal thermodynamic designs suited for different industries and a spectrum of applications.
PHE’s are used across process industries for various applications designed with compatible materials. They find use in chemical, pharmaceutical, mechanical engineering, on and offshore sector, power, shipbuilding, oil, compressors, piston and turbomachines, steel, surface treatment, automotive, paper and pulp, HVAC, extraction plants, PHE is used for heating and cooling of water, various type of oils, suspensions, infusion solutions, chemicals, acids etc. In food and milk processing sector, a range of heating, cooling, pasteurization, heat recovery to milk and juices. In key processes in these sectors, PHEs are used for heating, cooling, chilling, pasteurization, sterilization, condensation, heating engineering (solar heating central heating, underfloor heating) and also as vaporizer/condenser in the refrigeration plant.
Our brazed plate heat exchangers (PHE) consists of embossed stainless steel plates fit into one another and vacuum brazed with copper or nickel to form a compact pressure-proof unit. During assembly, every second plate is staggered by an angle of 180° creating specific gaps for product flow. The design and construction of brazed PHE enable to create a highly turbulent flow for most effective heat transfer, even in case of low volumetric flow rates and reduces the risk of fouling to a minimum.
It is a customized product and completely depending up on the thermal process requirement of the customer. Minimum it can be manufactured from 0.3m2 to maximum 2400 m2.
No. Our PHEs are well engineered to take care and avoid cross-media contamination. All gaskets are installed twice in the entry and exit area, creating a safety room which is open to the outside. It prevents the two media from mixing, avoids gasket leakage and hence leakages in PHE can be avoided.
Gasket material depends upon what type of fluid is being used and its temperature in the Plate Heat Exchanger. Depending on the design and the type, an adhesive or non-adhesive (clip-system) gasket may be used. As sealing material, we use well-known and tried and tested materials such as:
-
- NBR (nitrile-butadiene rubber): Universal use for aqueous and unctuous media e.g. water/ oil applications
- EPDM (ethylene-propylene rubber): Wide range of applications for many chemical compounds which do not contain mineral oil and grease, and for water-and steam application
- Flororubber (viton) : Extremely resistant to chemicals and organic solvents as well as sulphuric acid and vegetable oil at high temperatures
Gaskets have lasted for a longer time in a clean condition of the plate heat exchanger.
All the plate heat exchanger models have clip-on gasketes or Glueless gaskets hence they are very easy to replace.
It can be easily identified as the gasket type mentioned on the respective plate heat exchanger model.
Generally, genuine spears are available in stock hence they can be made available.
Yes, provide spares for any plate heat exchangers as well as service for replacing and spares with additional costs as applicable.
